This piece was made in the late 1940's by B Altman and Co, USA.

Made from medium weight cotton it a classic stripe summer dress with a white base carrying pretty stripes in pink, turquoise, purple and black.

A button through design featuring eleven pearlised buttons it has a neat collar, patch pocket on the bodice, with the stripes worked in opposing directions to create a contrast patch, a neat collar and the original belt, it is a great piece for everyday wear.
