This blouse has been made from an original 1940's wartime pattern using a 1940's feed sack from the USA.
Lovely soft cotton fabric in warm brown with a novelty print of skeins of wool in blue, orange and green and swirls of white.
The blouse has puffed sleeves, a neat little spear point collar, dropped yoke, gathered bodice and is finished with original 1940's brown glass buttons. The blouse has been very carefully made and features French seams and the pattern has been matched down the front.
Measurements
This is for a petite shouldered 32" bust but will go to a maximum 34" bust but it will be tight. However, to ensure it will fit you properly please compare the measurements below to a similar garment you already own;
Flat bust 17.5"
Flat waist 15.5" - meant to be cinched in
Length 21.5"
Shoulders between sleeves 13.5"
Underarm sleeve length 4.5"
Cuff opening 11"
Underarm to hem 13"
Condition
Newly made. Washed, pressed and ready to wear. The only point to note is there is a 5mm darn on the left side near the top button - see photo. Feed sacks are not always in perfect condition and sadly I couldn't work around the teeny hole so a darn was the only solution.
