This exceptionally beautiful suit was made in the 1940's and is labelled 'DORN MODEL'.
Made from crepe it features a panelled skirt with four half pleats in the front and back. The skirt fastens with hooks and a metal side zip.
The jacket has a nipped waist, would originally have been belted, fastens with two glass buttons and has the most incredible detailing on the collar with intricate soutache and charming trapunto quilted bows. Neither piece is lined.
The hours worth of work which would have gone into this piece would have been vast and the quality of the detailing is exceptional.
A truly stunning example of a 1940's suit.
