A rare find, this is an absolutely stunning hat from the 1920s or early 1930s.
A divine sun hat which would look just perfect with a pair of beach pyjamas. Made from soft green fabric, the brim is stiffened and has a wired edge. The fabric on the underside of the brim has beautiful seaming, while the top of the hat is smooth, apart from a pink applique design. The crown is soft and lies flat for easy storage. There is a fabric bow on the right side of the hat . The crown is lined and while there is no makers label, there are the remains of a shop tag in the crown.
Measurements
This has to fit fully on your head and the inner band is suitable for a 21" head maximum. Circumference 48" Front to back 14" Width 17" Crown depth 4"
Condition
The hat is in very good condition with just a couple of points to note; - there is a 1" area of grosgrain on the outside brim that isn't attached. It looks like it was an error at the point of making rather than damage - there are two small rust marks on the brim, one 3mm the other 4mm - one 5mm rust mark on the top side of the brim - 2 pinhole rust marks on the brim - some of the lining fabric is shattering, see photos Postage
