This piece has the classic shape of the late 1930s or early 1940s.
Made from dark chocolate brown felt it is designed to sit tilted to the right side of your head. There is a little rolled brim and a fine brown net surrounds the crown with the final detail being 2 felt bows on the front of the crown.

Condition
Beautiful condition, just a couple of small points to note;
- there are some small breaks in the net. Because the body of the net is tucked and folded, the breaks are only seen on close inspection
- there is a 2mm by 10mm moth graze on the upper surface of the nap on the underside of the brim
- very minor marks on the inner at the front - I'm assuming it is makeup
