A absolutely stunning example of a 1940s coat.
Made in the 1940s, after WW2, it bears the 11011 label which means it was not utility but was in fact a piece of the manufacturers most expensive pieces of clothing.
Labelled Windsmoor this swagger coat is made from lovely soft wool in a rich burgundy shade and is fully lined with deep wine coloured crepe. Broad shoulders, turned back cuffs and a single statement button at the neck, it is an iconic coat of the post war era.
This is a really good size and the cut and style of the piece means it will fit a variety of sizes. It will easily fit up to a 48"/50" bust. The measurements have all been taken on the outside of the coat. To ensure it will fit you, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own.
Flat bust 26"
Flat waist 28"
Shoulders between sleeves 17"
Neck to hem 45.5"
Neck to waist 15"
Underarm sleeve length 21" but the sleeve does sit very low in the seam so actually fits more like a 18"/19" underarm
Very good with only a few small points to note;
- a mark on the left pocket and one near it - see photo
- slight lining discolouration
- 2mm darn on the left front
- 3 small darns on the cuff edge of the right sleeve
