Such a fabulous dress in chevron stripes of navy and white.
Made in the 1950s by Berkertex and designed by Norman Hartnell it is a classic dress which is just perfect for the summer.
A lovely fitted bodice with double buttons on the neck opening, it has a smart collar, comes with the original belt and has pockets!! The skirt is very full and has a sweep of 100" at the hem.

This will fit up to a 38" bust max but will also work on a 36" bust.
Flat bust 20" bust the maximum fit will be 38" due to the cut
Flat waist 18" but the belt has holes from 27"-31" so it isn't meant to be close fitting at the waist
Flat hip 27"

Condition
Structurally good and it has a lot of life left in it but there are some minor points to note;
- there are some rust marks on the right shoulder, collar and underside of collar - it looks like something was spilt on the dress at some point - see photo. Some of them on the underside of the collar have gone into tiny holes but these aren't seen when worn
- there is some minor shoulder fade - it isn't showing in the photos but it is there
- the dress was originally a more vibrant, French navy, but the outer has faded slightly due to being washed and worn
