This coat is wonderfully thick and is double lined to make it extra snug!
American made in the 1940s, it is labelled Rothmoor Globe Department Store Waukegan. This is a really high quality coat. Made from smooth Kelly green wool it is satin lined and the satin lining is lined too, making this an incredibly warm winter coat. Double breasted with wonderful seaming in the back, it has crossover cuff detail and is trimmed with a grey astrakhan collar.
This has been tried on a 38" and a 48" bust and it fits both perfectly well. The swagger design means it is meant to be roomy so to ensure it will fit you please compare the measurements below to a similar item you already own. The measurements have all been taken on the outside of the coat.
Flat bust 25"
Flat waist 28"
Shoulders between sleeves 17"
Neck to hem 39.5"
Underarm sleeve length 16"
Very good with some very minor points to note;
- there is some slight loss of fur on the back of the collar - see photo
- there are two pale marks on the back of the coat - see photo
- when you touch the collar you can feel that it has had some repairs
- a 4mm darn on the inner collar
