This cute belted cardigan has been hand knitted from a knitting pattern from the March 1941 edition of Stitchcraft.

A smart twisted cable design it is a "blouson" style and fits into a wide belted waistband and has a smart collar. It fastens with original 1940s buckle and buttons.

Knitted in Cascade 220 fingering pure wool in a shade called Magenta it is an authentic reproduction of an original 1940s knit.

 

Measurements

This piece isn't meant to be too tight fitting or it will gape down the front. It will fit up to a 40" bust and 29" waist maximum but works really well on smaller. To ensure that it will fit you properly please compare the measurements below to a similar garment you already own;

Flat bust 18" stretching comfortably to 20"

Waist 13" stretching to 14.5"

Shoulders between sleeves 15"

Length 20"

Underarm sleeve length 5.5"
