This blouse has been made from an original 1940's wartime pattern using original cotton fabric from the 1940's in a fabulous novelty print of pink hearts with fine black outlines.
The blouse has puffed sleeves, a neat little spear point collar, dropped yoke, gathered bodice and is finished with ten original 1940's black glass buttons.
Measurements
The pattern this was made from is for a 34" bust and is the slightly blousey shape associated with the 1940's. It is not designed to be super tight fitting but if you prefer a closer fit, then this could potentially work on up to a 36". However, to ensure it will fit you properly please compare the measurements below to a similar garment you already own;
Flat bust 18.5"
Flat waist 15.5" - meant to be cinched in
Length 21.5"
Shoulders between sleeves 14.5"
Underarm sleeve length 3"
Cuff opening 11"
Condition
There is a small mark on the left hem, see photo. The fabric was washed before being turned into a blouse and the mark didn't shift but it may lift with a stain treatment.
