This is a really pretty little hat with an unusual trim.

Made in the 1940s, this natural straw hat has a lovely shape to it which means it "hugs" the back of your head. Designed to be worn tilted to one side, it has a shaped edge, is trimmed with wide chocolate brown grosgrain, and has a plastic hook shape decoration in brown. There is a covered elastic to help keep the hat in place.

Measurements

Because this design is meant to sit on the top of your head, it will fit a variety up to a 22" head. to sit on the top of your head, it is a one size fits all.

Width 10.5"

Length 11"

Depth of crown at the front 2.5"

Condition

Beautiful. The straw is still lovely and supple, the only minor points to note are;

- there are some marks on the inner grosgrain trim, but these aren't seen when the hat is being worn

- the grosgrain is very slightly grubby in palces
