Beautiful wide brimmed straw hat - just perfect for the summer.
This gorgeous hat was made in the 1940s from natural coloured straw. It has a shallow crown and a wide, circular brim. The crown is trimmed with chocolate brown grosgrain and the hat is finished off perfectly with a cluster of fabric flowers in blue, yellow, white and green.

Condition
Beautiful. The straw is still lovely and supple, the only minor points to note are;
- the flowers are a little squished
- the crown looks a little crumpled. I did steam it but the shape of the crown didn't change at all, so maybe it was made in the slightly more oval shape
- there is a tiny 1cm break in the straw on the very back edge of the brim. It happened because the wire from the brim poked through
