This gorgeous bag looks so much better in real life than in the photographs - as so often happens with black items.
Made in the 1950's, this bag is beautifully made. Entirely covered with beads, including the base of the piece, the beading has been done in a mix of seed and bugle beads. The handle is entirely covered with teeny black seed beads and the bag closes with with a sprung metal flap which has a pretty scalloped edge.
Fully lined, and with two small inside pockets, it is a really weighty piece and is just perfect for an evening out.
Length along base 9.5"
Height 6" excluding the handle and 11" with
Good with some minor points to note;
- slight wear on the lining
- minor wear to the sides of the handles - see photos
- there are five teeny areas of bead loss - please see photos - because the bag is so heavily beaded it is hard to see the areas of loss unless you look hard to them
