This wonderful hat was made in the 1930's.
Featuring a small, shallow crown the hat has a wide brim with an openwork section trimmed with three bands of felt in a chevron design set onto mesh. The brim is wired to help the piece keep its shape and there is a little decorative section of pleated felt on the left side.
A versatile hat that can be worn towards the front of your head and tilted to either side, it also works well on the back of your head to frame your face. However you choose to wear it, you will need to secure it in place with a hat pin.
