Utterly charming black lace tunic blouse from the 1930s.
The lace on this is strong and features a floral design. The bodice is close fitting, and the shoulders are narrow, and it has a silk collar and button loops running down the front of the dress. Long sleeves which fasten with a popper and an asymmetrical "skirt" it would look wonderful over wide leg satin trousers of a floor length skirt.
It will fit up to a 34" bust and 26" waist. Please note there are no side openings on this piece and so you'll need to be able to wiggle your bust through the waist - which has a little bit of give
Shoulders between sleeves 11"
Underarm sleeve length 14"
Shoulder to waist 15"
Shoulder to longest side of the hem 29"
Wounded but wearable. This piece needs some love but with some work it will be divine!
- there are no buttons. The bottom button loops appear to be decorative only as the piece doesn't open down the front. Not sure what buttons were once on it but replacements needed. In the photos the opening has been pinned closed, see the last photo for what the neckline actually looks like
- there are some small repairs and darns in the lace and a couple of larger ones - see photos
- there are some small breaks in the lace which need repairing, specifically on the right sleeve top
It has been priced very gently to reflect the fact that someone will need to spend some time bringing this piece back to life
