This charming little blouse is perfect for an evening out.
Made in the late 1930s or early 1940s, and most likely a home sewn piece, this button back blouse is made from warm brown satin backed crepe with a geometric design. Simple shaping with three quarter length sleeves and a cropped hem which has two cutouts, both trimmed with a little bow, the pattern matching across the back is fabulous and this would be a wonderful addition to any vintage lover's wardrobe.
This is not meant to be close fitting and is best suited for up to a 38" bust. However, to ensure it will fit you properly please compare the measurements below to a similar blouse you already own;
Flat bust 20.5"
Flat waist 19.5"
Shoulders between sleeves 15"
Shoulder to hem 19.5"
Underarm sleeve length 13"
Good with some minor points to note;
- there is a 1cm by 1/2cm self coloured mark on the back right shoulder blade
- a 1cm repair in the very front neck edge - tiny stitches are visible
