This piece was made in the early 1940's and is a classic shape of the era.
Made from burgundy felt, it has a deep crown, and is designed to sit low on your head and tilted to the right. It has a sweeping brim, which is wider in the front than the back, and has a large felt bow in the back. The scalloped detail on the hat is suede.

- the band of grey leather was once blue and has faded over time and discoloured
