This is an adorable little brooch.

Made in the 1940's, these popular Make Do and Mend brooches were made using plastic thonging, or in some cases wire covered with plastic, which was wound or crocheted onto a small metal ring and then trimmed with a central decoration, all fastened onto a collar bar. 

This piece features a large metal ring which has brown thonging crocheted around it and is trimmed in the middle with two metal buttons and a simple bow. The bow on this piece looks to have been made from electrical wire as it is hollow in the middle.

A really pretty example which would look great on any lapel.

Condition

Good, with minor wear which is commensurate with age. Please look at the photographs properly to ensure that you are happy with the condition of the brooch.
