Absolutely gorgeous 1940s red and black wool check suit!

Glorious shaping, it has the iconic 1940s broad shoulders, nipped in waist, covered buttons and fabulous seaming detail on the jacket front. A lovely lightweight wool in fine black and red check, the jacket is fully lined with black crepe.

Condition

Very good with a couple of minor points to note;

- on the cuff edges there is some minor wear - see photo

- the previous owner adjusted the waist to make it a little bigger so there is a small insert that has been added beside the zip - see photo
