A charming, and iconic, cotton floral house dress from the 1940s.
This piece was originally designed to be worn over a dress to protect the clothes when housework was being done. However, it makes a perfect day dress and is far too good to only be worn in the home.
Made from cotton in a busy floral print, it is button through and has its original belt, which is stitched onto the back so you can't lose it. A fitted bodice and a panelled skirt, it has a smart collar and a practical patch pocket on the right skirt.
Best suited for up to a 40-34-42 but to ensure it will fit you, please compare the measurements below to a similar item you already own;
Flat bust 21.5"
Flat waist 20" but the belt can only go to 34.5" MAX
Flat hip 23"
Shoulders between sleeves 14.5"
Shoulder to waist 17"
Shoulder to hem 45"
Underarm sleeve length 4.5"
Flat cuff 7.5"
Excellent. The fabric is still stiff and the piece appears to be unworn. The only point to note is I spotted 2 pinhead rust marks in the busy print.
