This is a really pretty hat which isn't showing well in the photographs. It's stylish and a classic design from the 1940s and looks so much better in real life.
Made from inky black felt, the back of the hat is close fitting and hugs your head. The top is a circular wired frame which has been covered with felt and the piece has a trio of black grosgrain bows in the back. The elastic on the hat is meant to go under your hair, not under your chin (obviously), but it was the only way it would stay on the mannequin.
A very sophisticated design which would look incredible with a 1940s suit.

Condition
Beautiful. It looks to have been little worn and the only point to note is a slight makeup mark on the inner front band where it has touched someone's head.
