This is such a pretty dress.
Made in the 1940s or 1950s, this piece was probably originally designed to be worn over a dress to protect the clothes when housework was being done. However, it makes a perfect day dress and is far too good to only be worn in the home.
Made from floppy cotton in a bold floral print with large pink roses, it is button through and has its original belt.
Best suited for up to a 42-36-44 but to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar item you already own;
Flat bust 22.5"
Flat waist 19"
Flat hip 23"
Shoulders between sleeves 15"
Shoulder to waist 15"
Shoulder to hem 42"
Underarm sleeve length 6.5"
Flat cuff 6.5"
Very good with a few minor points to note;
- there are some small patches and darns near 5 of the buttons - they are not seen when worn because they are covered by the other side of the dress
- there are a couple of small grazes to the fabric, but they are lost within the print
Because of the print, the darns are mostly lost and only seen when you're really looking for them.
