This charming little necklace was most likely made in the 1930s or 1940s. This style of carved jewellery, often featuring edelweiss or alpine flowers, was popular during the 30s and 40s and was often purchased as a tourist piece.
This is a really lovely piece. I've seen lots of the elasticated edelweiss bracelets but never one which is linked with a clasp.
It feathers a large central piece and three small pieces either side, all with an edelweiss carved into the middle.
Will best fit a 6.5" wrist
Central panel is 1 2/8th "
Very good, just shows minor wear.
