This charming little necklace was most likely made in the 1930s or 1940s. This style of carved jewellery, often featuring edelweiss or alpine flowers, was popular during the 30s and 40s and was often purchased as a tourist piece.
This piece features three beautifully carved edelweiss on a beaded necklace, fastening with a carved screw clasp. Brooches like this are quite common but the necklaces are much harder to find, especially with the three flowers.
