This wonderful quality piece was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's.
Made from inky black wool it has been carefully constructed to look like a suit. The bodice has a button front and fastens on the left with a zip. It has a smart collar and neat faux pockets. The skirt is stylishly pleated and it is a timeless classic.

Condition
Very good. Only point to note is a few small darns in the inverted pleat on the back skirt, but these aren't seen when worn.
