This classic piece would be great for day or evening wear.
Made in the 1950's, it is a commercially made piece and carries a seamstress label in both pieces but no actual maker's label.
A beautifully soft fabric in old gold it has floral embroidery in silk thread. The dress bodice is close fitting and has a tiny slit at the neck, has a back zip and a deeply pleated skirt. The jacket has gorgeous shaping with three-quarter length sleeves, a rounded collar, and self covered buttons. Neither piece is lined.
