This charming little brooch was most likely made in the 1940's 1950's.
This style of carved jewellery, often featuring edelweiss or alpine flowers, was popular during this time and was often purchased as a tourist piece.
This piece features a beautifully carved circlet in which a painted gentian violet sits.
Perfect addition to a lapel but is also small enough to be worn at the neck of a blouse.
