This little cocktail dress is a home-sewn piece from the late 1950's or early 1960's.
Made from forest green wool and fully lined in the body of the piece - the sleeves are unlined - it fastens down the back with a long metal zip. The top part of the bodice is covered with paste studs in varying sizes, and the entire piece has a scattering of the smallest sized studs. The paste studs are faceted and catch the light giving the dress a wonderful sparkle.
The perfect festive frock!
This will best fit a 35-27-36. It is fully lined and there is no stretch to the lining at all. To ensure this piece will fit you, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Flat bust 18"
Flat waist 14"
Flat hip 18"
Shoulder to waist 16"
Shoulder to hem 42.5"
Underarm sleeve length 10"
Very good with just a couple of points to note;
- I have spotted two places where the studs are missing
- there are three tiny darns, 1 in the front of the right sleeve and two in the front skirt, 14" up from the hem
