This is a beautiful example of a classic 1940's day dress.
Made from wonderful floppy cotton the fabric has a wonderful drape. Red, blue, yellow and green flowers with green leaves and outlines of black are printed on a white ground. It has a simple bodice with spear point collar and black buttons.
As a home-sewn piece it has a few quirky construction points but present really well.
