This is a fabulous hat in a very hard to find shade.
Made in the 1940's and labelled "Lincoln Bennett" it has the classic bonnet shape from the early war years.
A neat fitting crown and a smart wired brim, which is deeper in the front than the back, it is trimmed with two large fabric flowers. Made from a medium weight straw, it is the perfect summer hat!
Measurements
Inner 21"
Width 12"
Length 10"
Deepest point of crown 3.5"
Condition
Structurally it is very good but there are some minor points to note;
- the flowers are a little crumpled in places and the wires on the backs of the leaves have corroded and some have snapped
- there are some small rust marks scattered across the hat - see photos
- there is some very minor fade which is all over the hat, you only notice it if you compare the underside with the top
