This hat is so much nicer in person than the photographs show but, as is so often the case with black hats, it has been hard to show the detail. Some photographs have been lightened to show the details but please note the colour is true inky black.
Made in the late 1940's or early 1950's, this piece is labelled 'Hi-Aims Hat'.
A close fitting design it is made from inky black felt. It has a rounded crown, which sits fully on your head, and the brim is down-turned in the back, rising to a high peak in the front.
