Please note that this hat is not perfect. Please read the condition report carefully to make sure that you are happy with this piece.
This is such a pretty hat in a great colourway. Made in the 1930s from rich chestnut coloured felt, it has a split brim and cutout detail in the crown which has been threaded with wide grosgrain in green and chestnut. A classic shape of the era, the crown in the back is deeper than in the front and it has an upturned brim in the back and is designed to be worn tilted on the right side of your head.
It isn't meant to fit fully on your head and will work on up to a 22" head.
Inner band 22"
Crown in front 2"
Crown at back 3"
Fair. Please note this piece has issues but is still really wearable and has been priced to reflect the faults.
- there is a 3mm by 8mm hole in the crown on the right hand side of the hat. It is visible when worn because it sits right on the top edge of the crown - see 6th photo
- there are a number of areas of moth grazing, mostly on the underside of the brim, but please zoom in on the photos to make sure you're happy with them
- the grosgrain is a little grubby on places
- the inner band has some worn areas - see photos
