This stunning piece was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's and is labelled 'Prologue'.
Made from crisp cotton it has a base of blue, yellow and black with bold floral stripes in green, red and purple.
The dress features a smooth fitting bodice, which fastens with 4 yellow buttons, has short sleeves with turn back cuffs and a neat collar. The skirt is broadly pleated and the piece is finished off perfectly with the original belt.
