This bag is absolutely stunning and so much work must have gone into it.

Made around the 1920's, this crewel work bag, worked in pure wool, depicts a floral design on a green base. The colours are rich and vibrant and the craftsmanship is exceptional. The handles are wooden and have carved flowers on and the piece is lined with soft blue cotton.

A truly glorious example from the early 20th century.
