This bag is absolutely stunning and so much work must have gone into it.

Made around the 1920's, this crewel work bag depicts a pair of birds on a branch which are surrounded by flowers. The colours are rich and vibrant and the craftsmanship is exceptional. The handles are wooden and have carvings at the edges and the piece is lined with soft blue cotton.

Beautiful. There are just a few tiny areas of wear but they are lost within the busy design.
