This stunning hat was made in the late 1930's or early 1940's.
Made from blue grey felt it is labelled Bogie De Bow.
A versatile design, it can sit straight on your head, tilted slightly to one side or, as shown in the photos, can be worn towards the back of your head which shows off the pretty shape of the brim best.
Quite a shallow crown, the wire framed brim is trimmed with a large felt bow and net in a silver grey. There are felt hat pins, which match the hat, positioned on each side of the piece.
Measurements
Width 10.5"
Front to back 10"
Deepest point on the crown 2.5"
The inner band is 18" but it is only meant to sit on the top of your head so does work on up to a 22" head
Condition
Beautiful condition. No issues to the felt and haven't spotted any breaks in the net on the main body, although there may be teeny breaks within the gathered folds.
