This stunning hat was made in the late 1930's or early 1940's.
Made from navy felt it has a deep crown which is shaped to sit tilted to the right side of your head. A sweeping brim which is turned up in the back, it has a sunburst design stitched into the front of the piece and is finished off perfectly with a ruse leather trim.

Condition
Good with some points to note;
- there is a 5mm hole in the back of the piece where the brim is folded over - when the piece came to me, someone had made a clumsy pleat in the back to cover the hole but that made the hat a lot smaller
- discolouration on the inner, especially at the front
- minor wear to the suede
- very slight discolouration, as can be seen if you look under the suede trim
