Made in America in the 1930's, this fabulous coat is made from milk chocolate brown coloured pure wool.
Styled by 'W.M.Devitz' it is a stunningly tailored piece with a nipped waist, huge collar, single button closure and is slim fitting on the hips but then has a wonderfully full 'skirt' section at knee level.
Fully lined with brown crepe it is a gorgeous piece.

Condition
Structurally it is in good shape for the age of the piece but please look at the photographs really carefully, and read the description to make sure that you're happy with the condition.
- there are some surface grazes to the fabric and 2 small darns on the very top of the right sleeve, but these are hidden by the huge collar and aren't seen when worn
- there are some surface grazes to the fabric and a pinhead hole on the top of the left sleeve, again, not seen when worn
- there are 3 small holes in the lining
- a pinhead hole to the skirt section on the right front
- 4 pinhead holes to the skirt section on the left front
- 2 pinhead holes to the skirt section on the back
- a darn in the middle back
- main issue is discolouration and colour change - there are marks over a lot of the coat in varying degrees of size and colour.
The tailoring and shape of the piece are amazing and even with the issues it is still an utterly fabulous piece which has been priced to reflect the issues. In perfect condition this would be priced at more than double the current ticket price.
