This is a neat little day dress.
Made in the 1930's or 1940's and labelled "Gold Cross Frock" it is made from floppy cotton in navy blue and has an off-white print of butterflies.
A fairly slim fitting skirt, it has a full bodice with shirring on the shoulders, shoulder pads to give the iconic look of the era and long sleeves with button cuffs.
The fabric is wonderfully floppy so the drape is divine. A great dress for the summer.

Condition
Very good, with minor points to note;
- there are a couple of pinhead marks - they are lost within the busy print and you have to really search for them to spot them
- a couple of minor areas of wear around the inner neck
- slight wear to some small areas of shirring
- it has had some alterations at some point and there are a few generous seams in the skirt where it looks like the skirt has been taken in. The same can be seen on the front bodice.
