This is such a charming hat.

Made in America in the 1930's it is labelled "Franklin Simon & Co New York". The hat has a the typical rounded crown of the era and a neat brim. It is made from fine, dark brown straw and simply trimmed with a brown, cream and rust grosgrain band.

Condition

Very good condition with only minor points to note;

- when held up to the light there is one pinhead break in the straw on the brim

- there is minor discolouration and wear to the inner band
