Made in the 1930's and labelled Bukta it is such a stylish suit.
Machine knitted in navy blue it has a horizontal chevron to the fabric. Very close fitting, it has a halter-neck with straps which crossover in the back. The straps run through three cream plastic loops on the back of the suit meaning you can adjust it to the required size. It is a traditional design of the era with a skirt section covering the "shorts" underneath.
It has a fabulous four colour insert in the front which has little pom-pom trim.
Measurements
It will fit up to a maximum 35-28-38
Length from centre front to hem is 23"
Condition
Looks good from a distance but it is being sold as a collectors item or for display. Please note;
- there are a considerable number of small repairs and darns, the majority of the big repairs are in the gusset area
- there are a number of small 2mm-3mm holes when the suit is stretched
If you have the time to mend all the little holes then this would be wearable poolside, but I wouldn't recommend getting it wet!
