This dress is absolutely stunning and the photos truly don't do it justice.

Made from the softest silk it has been beautifully sewn with some exquisite details. Pin-tucks on the shoulders, pleated skirt, flutter sleeves, and a neat little collar, it is the perfect summer dress for the 1930's enthusiast.

Please note the dress is shown tied at the waist with a silk ribbon, this is just to show you what it will look like when belted. The ribbon is not included in the sale. 

 

Measurements

This piece has no side opening and the shoulder measurement is petite so it is for up to a 34" bust maximum, and someone with narrow shoulders. To ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar item you already own;

Flat bust 18"

Flat waist 17"

Flat hips 20"

Shoulders between sleeves 12"

Shoulder to waist 14.5"

Condition

Good with some issues to note;

- there is a repair on the neck opening. It is a little crudely done and has been covered with buttons to try to make it less obvious

- there is a small darn in the right sleeve and a pinhead hole

- on each corner of the 4 sleeves there is a small repair 

- there are some light marks which are only seen on close inspection

- belt loops but no belt

- there are a couple of dark marks in the skirt

- there is some minor seam stress on the darts in the front skirt and the darts on the back skirt have been partially removed to give more room at the hip, there are marks in the silk from the original stitching and some pulling

It still presents beautifully and issues are reflected in the price.

It has been washed, pressed and is ready to wear. The silk is strong and the piece has a lot of life left in it. It deserves to be loved and worn again.
