This piece was made in the 1930's and is labelled Barnett-Hutton LISPAK British alpaca.
The outer is made from dark brown alpaca wool which has been worked to have a pile of 5mm depth. It is simple and stylish in its design and features a loose fitting style with a rounded collar, which can be worn up or down, and fastens with three large buttons.
Fully lined, it is a great winter coat for a vintage lover.
Measurements
This piece is not meant to be close fitting and has quite a straight design. It will best fit up to a 40" bust. Please note all the measurements have been taken on the outside of the piece.
Flat bust 23"
Shoulders between sleeves 16"
Length 41.5"
Underarm sleeve length 17"
Condition
Good with some points to note;
- there is an area of wear to the wool on the left collar front
- a few small grazes - only seen on close inspection due to the depth of the pile and the dark base the wool is on
- main issue is the lining has a number of large patches - please see photos - and a small area of grazing
