This piece is absolutely divine and the photos really aren't doing it justice. So pretty and charming, it deserves to be worn and not hoarded, like I have done for many years.
Made in the 1930s it features a wire band which has been covered with net. On the very front of the band there is an oversized flower head which has little wired leaves either side. Across the top of the band are two lines of rich pink velvet ribbon which meet at the back and are trimmed with a bow.
Measurements
It is a petite fitting piece and although not designed to fit fully on your head, it will only work on a 21" head or smaller. The wire "loop" in the back does an ok job of keeping the hat in place but I would be inclined to secure it with some pins to make sure it doesn't slip.
The flower head is 5"x5" and the piece is 6" long, 5.5" wide and the loop in the back is 4"
Condition
Very good. The flower is a little crumpled in places and there are some minor signs of wear but it looks incredible on.
