Made in the 1940's or early 1950's, this piece is made from very lightweight black cotton which has woven stripes in red, yellow, blue, white and green.
A button though design with small black glass buttons, it has two large patch pockets, a neat collar and little turn-up cuffs.
Would look great cinched in with a belt.
Please note the cotton is fine and when held up to the light it is semi sheer so you'd benefit from wearing a slip in intending to wear it in winter.

Condition
Good with some points to note;
- faint pinhead spot on the back right shoulder - see photo
- belt loops but no belt
- wear under the bottom two buttons - covered when the dress is fastened
- the hem has been dropped and there is a very faint crease
- main issue is there is some thinning on the left pocket, near the waist - see photo. It is thin and the weave of the check has worn nearly off but it isn't actually a hole
