This classic day dress was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's by Cooks St Pauls.
Made from floppy cotton in a soft blue base it has a bold print in magenta, purple, turquoise and yellow.
The bodice fastens with two decorative purple buttons and there is a pink metal side zip. The bodice and skirt and both quite slim fitting and the dress has neat little cuffs and a smart collar. Would look great cinched at the waist.
Measurements
This piece is quite short waisted so is better suited to a smaller bust that the flat measurements suggest as this will gain you a little more bodice length. However, to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;

Condition
Good with some points to note;
- there is a stain on the top of the right shoulder - the dress has been washed and the stain lessened slightly so it may come out with proper stain treatment but even if it doesn't it isn't too noticeable
- there are three small old darns in the skirt plus two stick on repairs
- seven pinhead holes in the skirt which are seen when it is held up to the light
- there is a 1" by 3" patch on the hem, but I only spotted this while pressing the dress
- belt loops but no belt
