This pretty piece is not perfect. It has a lot of issues and if you are looking for perfection then this piece is not for you.
Made in the late 1940's or early 1950's, this home sewn piece is made from floppy cotton in the prettiest floral print.
It was obviously tailor made to the seamstress's measurements as there are some slightly quirky construction points and I think they had limited fabric to work with because there are centre seams down the front and back bodice but it is so very pretty and is a great little summer frock.
Flat bust 21"

It is very wearable and great for a re-enactor or a true vintage enthusiast who doesn't mind things not being perfect. Points to note;
- it has been altered at some point because there are some visible stitch-marks
- there are some light marks - it has been washed and the marks didn't come out but they may come out if soaked
- there are some small darns over the piece, mostly hidden in the print
- the zip is a replacement modern one as the original was damaged
