This stylish piece was made in the 1940's and is labelled Gimble Brothers.
An iconic shape of the era it features very broad shoulders and a nipped in waist with front ties.
The main body of the jacket is black and ivory houndstooth check in medium weight wool with sleeves and belt in a fine herringbone wool in black.
Fully lined it is a fabulous jacket.
Measurements
The jacket is shown on a 35" bust mannequin and is a little too big, mostly because of the oversized shoulders. It will fit a variety of sizes depending on how much cross-over you have in the front. To ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already know, and please note the shoulders on this piece are very broad.
Flat bust in the back 16 1/2 and 19" in the front when you have a 1" overlap of the front bodices
