This pretty piece was made in the 1940's or 1950's.
Made from medium weight cotton in a plaid print in green and two shades of grey it was originally designed to be worn over your clothes to protect them from getting dirty while you were doing chores. but it is much too pretty to be confined to the home and works perfectly as a day dress.
A button through design it has long sleeves with pleated sleeve heads, patch pockets and a belt with a button fastening.
