This day dress was made in the 1940's from medium weight rich red wool.
A classic piece from the time it features three-quarter length sleeves, horizontal pin tucks across the front yokes, a button front bodice, darted skirt and still has the original belt.
A great wardrobe staple for the vintage lover.

Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- there is a mark underneath the second button - I have tried to sponge clean it but it hasn't shifted and as it is wool I haven't risked washing it - however, it isn't that noticeable when worn as much is covered by the button
- the bottom of the zip has been sewn shut at the last 1" as it has some broken teeth and, I assume, the zip got stuck. Not seen when worn, purely a point to note
- the most minor seam stress at the top of the darts on the skirt
- the white trim appears to be a later addition to the dress and could have been sewn on more neatly - could be removed if you don't want it
